At Icky Leaks, our mission is to expose corruption, cronyism and wrongdoing in the classical music world, and to name and shame those responsible for creating an industry that has, for too long, acted like a religious cult where no one dares highlight wrongdoing for fear of repercussions, being blacklisted or being held back in their career.
As the saying goes, the swamp now needs to be drained.
The information we are currently collating consists of material that has been leaked by people who work in the heart of the classical music industry - funding organisations, artist agencies, record labels, orchestras, festivals, public relations businesses, journalism... As well as information provided to us by artists and educators.
We have been given previously unpublished material
, confidential documents, personal and often highly incriminating communications, dodgy funding applications, dubious self-assessments, proof of nepotism, proof of artists being excluded, proof of widespread collusion, proof of threats, and much more...
